Things got worse for Spain when they conceded a third goal which was netted from Stefan de Vrij on 64 minutes.
A howler from Iker Casillas presented Netherlands with a fourth goal, which was scored again by Van Persie.
The Dutch finally sealed their massive opening game victory with another excellent goal from Robben, who also grabbed a brace on that match.
