Everton's dream in finishing at fourth place seat is getting tougher as this weekend they suffered a disappointing away defeat against Southampton.
The visitor had a rough start on that weekend tie as they found themselves trailing by a goal after only a minute of play as Southampton scored through an own goal from Antolin Alcaraz.
That early goal gave more confidence for the Saints as they continue to push forward and eventually doubling their advantage with another own goal, this time from Seamus Coleman on 31 minutes.
Everton tried hard to get themselves back into the tie, but none of their efforts were successful as until the final whistle was blown, Southampton holding on to their two goals lead.
A disappointing result indeed for the Toffees as they failed to put a pressure on that fourth place seat which is currently being taken by Arsenal.
