Benfica keeping their Champions League hope alive after successfully snatching an away victory over Belgium outfit Anderlecht this past midweek. Things didn't seem to go well for the Portuguese side when Anderlecht managed to get in front on 18 minutes through Chancel Mbemba, but the visitor managed to draw level before half time break thanks to a goal from Nemanja Matic on 34 minutes.
In the second half, Benfica turned things around as Mbemba netted an own goal on 52 minutes, but Massimo Bruno leveled the score once again with his effort on 77 minutes. The visitor eventually came away with all three points as Rodrigo finished off Miralem Sulejmani's assist just before the final whistle was blown, giving his side one final straw in grabbing a ticket into the knock out stages.
