Sheffield Wednesday continue to march their way in this year's FA Cup campaign after securing a ticket into the fifth round of that competition by eliminating Rochdale this past weekend. It was not an easy task though for Sheffield to overcome their opponent especially in the first 45 minutes which ended in goalless draw. Things finally opened up after the break as Wednesday got themselves in front on 51 minutes through Joe Mattock's effort.
The away side extending their lead not long after that opener as Oguchi Onyewu netting home his side's second on 57 minutes. Rochdale tried their best in getting back into that tie, but all they can do was pulling one goal back on 60 minutes from Michael Rose's effort. No more goals were scored after that as Wednesday holding on to their slender lead until the final whistle was blown.
