Real Madrid went through some early season suffering s with shocking defeats and dropping points that no one expected them to lose. This allowed their eternal rivals Barcelona to secure the 1rst place position of the standings with 18 points with no pressure from anyone.
They were in need of not only a victory but good performances from their entire squad if they wanted to keep their spirit on high on the upcoming Champions League matches and indeed Mourinho’s squad got what they were expecting with 5 goals being blasted into the net of Dani Aranzubia.
Sergio Ramos was not included into the starting XI of Jose Mourinho and instead the Portuguese coach decided to put in Raphael Varane who made a mistake early into the game as he allowed Riki to burst past him without much trouble and tucked the ball into the corner of the net.
7 minutes later and the defender of Deportivo Manuel Pablo appeared to have brought down the Argentine winger Angel Di Maria who was approaching the post but fell down and the referee awarded the hosts with a penalty which was scored in by C.Ronaldo.
Di Maria was next in line to score with a close range tap into the net as he received a deep pass from Modric and he scored with a close range header. C.Ronaldo scored his 2nd in a similar fashion as Di Maria, following a rebound that was spilled and the Portuguese player headed it from point blank range.
The goals continued on arriving this time with the defender Pepe finding the back of the net and finally C.Ronaldo completed his hat trick scoring once again before the end of the game.
