Real Madrid redeem their recent disappointing league form with a positive result in the Champions League as they demolished FC Basel on Tuesday.
Keen on reviving their mental state after two straight league defeats, Los Blancos put on an attacking display in that midweek tie.
The home side got themselves in front after just 14 minutes thanks to an own goal from Marek Suchy.
That early strike gave more confidence for Madrid players as they continue to pour forward and added three more goals during that first 45 minutes period through Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo along with James Rodriguez.
Basel did managed to pull one goal back though before half time break with an effort from Derlis Gonzales.
However, after the break, Madrid added one more goal to complete their rout as Karim Benzema snatched his team's fifth on 79 minutes.
