Patrick Thistle FC 1-2 Glasgow Celtic highlights: Celtic continuing their reign at the top of Scottish Premier League standings after grabbing an hard fought away win against Patrick Thistle this past weekend.
Eager to extend their lead at the top of SPL standings, Celtic put on an aggressive display since kick off, but it wasn't until the 34th minute until they managed to get themselves in front through Georgios Samaras' effort. That lead lasted until half time break as Patrick Thistle failed to make any significant break through during that first 45 minutes, giving the visitor a slender lead as they go into half time break.
The home side improved their attacking display in the second period as they managed to draw level on 67 minutes with an effort from Kris Doolan. Celtic managed to regain their composure though and eventually got back into the lead, thanks to the goal from Amido Balde on 74 minutes. That slender victory was more than enough to ensure Neil Lennon's men sitting comfortable at the top of SPL with six points above runners up, Aberdeen.
