ST Mirren starting their mission in running away from potential relegation trouble as they bagged a convincing away victory over Patrick Thistle on Saturday. Staging the tie away from home, St Mirren were not shying away from playing an attacking display as they were pushing hard for goals which was rewarded with a pretty early goal from Steven Thompson who scored after just 15 minutes of play.
Leading by a goal in the first 45 minutes didn't seem to be enough for St Mirren as they kept on pushing forward which eventually earned them two more goals from, Conor Newton on 72 minutes and also another strike from Thompson deep in stoppage time.
