Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 SC Bastia highlights: Ahead of their Champions League fixture in midweek, Paris Saint-Germain were looking to maintain their seat at the top of Ligue 1 standings as they play host to Bastia last Friday.
PSG started the match brightly by creating good scoring chances, but they were also threatened by their opponent's swift counter attacking play. Despite picking a good amount of opportunities, the home team failed to convert them and forced to go into the break in a 0-0 scoreline.
Carlo Ancelotti's men continue their attacking play after the break and on 55 minutes, they finally broke the dead lock with a fine long range effort from Jeremy Menez. The host doubled their advantage 15 minutes from time through Zlatan Ibrahimovic perfectly executed spot kick which was given after Lucas Moura was brought down by Bastia defender.
However, eight minutes from time, Bastia made things interesting after they pulled a goal back from Wahib Khazri audacious free kick effort. PSG were not keen on throwing away their lead though and on 88 minutes they regained their two goals advantage with an easy tap in from Ezequiel Lavezzi.
