Paris Saint-Germain extended their lead at the top of France LIgue 1 standings after successfully grabbing all three points from their weekend big match against Olympique Marseille. Knowing that their nearest rival, AS Monaco suffered a defeat in their match, PSG were very determined in grabbing maximum points from that encounter as they immediately pushed forward vigorously since kick off.
It was not an easy task for PSG to overcome their opponent though as Marseille put on solid display, especially during the first 45 minutes which ended in goalless draw. The home team's relentless effort was eventually rewarded when Maxwell puts them in front on 50 minutes and Edinson Cavani securing his team's victory with his goal on 79 minutes.
