Nottingham Forets' run of poor results in the English Premier League followed them in FA Cup as Sam Allardyce's men suffered a hammering from Championship side, Nottingham Forest this past weekend. The home team didn't show any fear facing a team sitting in a better league level as they immediately put on an attacking display since kick off and Djamel Abdoun started the host's winning parade with his spot kick on 12 minutes.
The match looked rather tight though from that moment on as West Ham were keen on getting back on level terms, but midway into the second half things really turned into Forest's favor as Jamie Patterson extended his team's lead with his effort on 65 minutes, before eventually snatching a hat-trick on that tie, adding two more goals on 71 and 79 minutes. The home side were not done yet though as they rounded up their convincing win with a fifth goal, netted by Andy Reid in stoppage time.
