Nottingham Forest maintaining their play offs spot in the English Championship campaign as they bagged a comfortable home victory over Blackburn Rovers this past weekend. The home side put on an aggressive display since kick off and earn their reward with Henry Lansbury opening the score after 15 minutes from the spot kick. Lansbury doubled his tally half way into that first period, once again from the penalty spot as he netted home on 34 minutes.
The away side earned themselves a life line just before half time break as they pulled one goal back through Ben Marshall's effort, scoring on 37 minutes. Things looked tighter early in the second period, but Forest took hold of situation when Jamie Paterson nestled his team's third goal on 72 minutes. The home team eventually sealed all three points from that weekend encounter thanks to a late goal from Andy Reid, who nestled home to make it 4-1 on 95th minute.
