Nottingham Forest FC 2-3 Oldham Athletic highlights: Nottingham Forest's ambition in reaching the fourth round of FA Cup fell short as they were stunned by League One outfit Oldham Athletic last Saturday.
Forest started the match brightly as they took the lead on 13th minute through an own goal scored by Matt Smith. The Championship side hold on into their slender lead until the half time whistle, as they keen on adding more after the break.
However, instead of doubling their advantage, Forest were stunned by their opponent that managed to draw level with a goal from Robbie Simpson in the 54th minute. Four minutes later, Simpson gave more surprise for the host as he scored his second in the game to turn things around for Oldham.
Shortly after grabbing their second, the visitor add another one, this time through Jose Baxter's effort, which simply left Forest players' puzzled as they suddenly goes 3-1 behind. The home side only managed to score a consolation goal deep in stoppage time from Billy Sharp's effort, which is not enough to spark a come back for Alex McLeish's men.
