Norwich City Vs Reading Highlights: Norwich received Reading at Carrow Road and they defeated the relegation zone club 2-1 which leaves Reading with just 4 more Premier League matches left to be played and they will need to get a victory in every single one of those games if they want to escape the relegation spots.
Chris Hughton implanted an attacking formation which allowed Reading with plenty of control in the midfield on each half’s of the encounter but Norwich did however enjoy many chances on scoring.
Although the offensive tactic from the coach of Norwich did not prove to be good in the 1rst half, it was a breakthrough in the 2nd half when Elliott and Ryan Bennett each scored a goal.
The opening goal arrived following a corner from Snodgrass which was placed into the box of Grant Holt and a header from the striker was rightfully saved by McCarthy but a rebound allowed Bennett to take it home.
1 minute later and Norwich added another goal in their favor but this time around it was Elliott Bennet who scored.
Russell Martin crosses the ball from the right flank and keeper Alex McCarthy comes off his line to punch clear but is unable to get enough power on his effort. Bennett receives the ball inside the box before shooting low towards goal, and his effort deflects off keeper McCarthy past the Royals guarding the goal line and finds the back of the net.
Garath McCleary tried to put his team back into the game as he scored at the 72nd minute but it wasn’t enough as Norwich was the team that grabbed all 3 points from the match.
