Suffering from two heavy defeats on their last league matches, things don't seem to get any easier for Newcastle United as this Wednesday, February 12 they are set for another difficult tie against Tottenham Hotspur. The Magpies are really eager to regain their winning form this midweek, but it won't be an easy task indeed, especially if Alan Pardew can't straighten up his players' mental condition after their latest disappointing results.
Spurs themselves seemed to be re-finding their form again after their beating from Manchester City couple of weeks back as Tim Sherwood's men managed to keep that challenge for top four seat alive and well after their weekend victory over Everton. Playing away from home won't stop Sherwood from targeting another three points as he acknowledged that only maximum points will help them keeping that chase for final Champions League seat by the end of season alive.
Spurs keeping their chase for that top four challenge going strong as they bagged another important victory this midweek, trashing home side Newcastle United 4-0. Emmanuel Adebayor was the hero on that encounter as he bagged two goals on 19 and 82 minutes. Meanwhile the other two goals were netted by Paulinho on 53 minutes along with Nacer Chadli two minutes from time.
