Not having a memorable year for Manchester United, Robin Van Persie showed that he is still an important player for Netherlands national team as he decided Louis Van Gaal's men victory in a friendly over Ghana.
Staging a friendly match against fellow World Cup participants at home, Netherlands made a bright start as they got in front after five minutes of play through Van Persie's effort.
However, things didn't go that easy from that moment on for the Dutch as Ghana refused to give up easily and were pushing for an equalizing goal.
Unfortunately, none of the African side's efforts were rewarded as until the final whistle was blown Netherlands remain in front with that early goal from Van Persie.
