Napoli keeping their Scudetto challenge alive and kicking after grabbing an important home win over Inter Milan this past weekend at San Paolo stadium. Eager to redeem their disappointment after crashing out of UEFA Champions League group stage, Parteponei immediately set themselves into an attacking mode and earned a reward with a goal from Gonzalo Higuain after just nine minutes of play.
Inter reacted well though as they got back on level terms with an effort from Esteban Cambiasson on 35 minutes, but four minutes later, Napoli regained their lead through Dries Mertens' goal and soon afterwards it was 3-1 when Blerim Dzemaili finishing off a rebound shot from close range. Nerazzurri pulled one goal back before half time break thanks to Yuto Nagatomo's effort. However, a sending off for Ricky Alvarez on 71 minutes, made things difficult for Walter Mazzarri's men as Partenopei took full advantage over that situation and sealed things off with Jose Callejon's goal on 81 minutes.
