Napoli got themselves back on winning ways as they grabbed an important home victory over AC Milan at San Paolo stadium this past Saturday. The home side were keen on ending recent poor result and immediately setting themselves on an attacking mode, but they were facing strong resistance from Rossoneri as it was Milan that got things going with an effort from their new signing Adel Taarabt, who scored on eight minutes.
The home side reacted well though as they got back on level terms within just three minutes later with an effort from Gokhan Inler, who had his shot deflected off Nigel De Jong. Things continue to look tight after the break, but a defensive error gave Napoli a lead on 56 minutes through Gonzalo Higuain's header. Rossoneri tried to get back into the tie, but their failure in finishing couple of guild edge chances cost them dearly as the Partenopei's counter attacking play resulted in a third goal from another Higuain's effort on 82 minutes.
