Napoli secured their passage into the next round of Coppa Italia after successfully snatching a home win over Lazio this midweek in an interesting contest at San Paolo stadium. Both teams were looking really eager to grab that semi finals ticket and booked a schedule against AS Roma, that already secured their place in that round. Neither of those two sides were able to make their mark during the first 45 minutes as that period ended in goalless draw.
After the break, things still looking really tight as neither of those two sides were keen on making a mistake at the back, but eight minutes from time, lady luck smiled brightly on Napoli's favor as Rafael Benitez's men broke the dead lock with an effort from Gonzalo Higuain. That single strike from the Argentinian international lasted until the final whistle was blown as Lazio failed to snatch any equalizing goal.
