Motherwell pushing their way up into the top three seat of current Scottish Premier League standings after picking up an important home victory over Hibernian this past weekend. The home side were looking determined if presenting all three points for their loyal crowd as they immediately took an attacking initiative from kick off.
Facing a troubled side that are yet to confirm their new manager, Motherwell looking dominant as they were pressing hard and eventually getting themselves in front after 23 minutes with an effort from Stephen McManus. That goal did made thing much more interesting, but there were no more goals scored after that as both sides failed to convert any of their chances.
That 1-0 scoreline was more than enough though for Motherwell in taking them into the third place with 22 points from 12 matches. Meanwhile, Hibernian themselves still sitting at seventh place with 15 points and in search for new boss after the departure of Pat Fenlon earlier this week.
