Manchester City finally ending their short winless streak this midweek after demolishing Sheffield Wednesday in the third round of Capital One Cup.
Keen on getting themselves into the next round of Man City tried to take control of things straight from kick off.
However, it was not easy to break down their opponent's defense during the first 45 minutes as that period ended in goalless draw.
After the break, City finally got their break through, starting with a goal from Frank Lampard on 47 minutes.
That goal opened things up for the host as they went on a rout netting six more goals aftewards with adding another one in stoppage time.
Other goals were scored by Edin Dzeko, who also bagged a brace, with additions from Jesus Navas , Yaya Toure along with Jose Angel Pozo.
