Manchester City skipper Kevin de Bruyne, speaking to BBC Match of the Day, on seeing off a spirited Brighton display: "It is very difficult the way they defend, it is almost man for man.
"Not a lot of space and if you beat an opponent you get a chance. For them it is all or nothing defending.
"When you beat a press it gets dangerous. When we play one v one, we knew Erling was alone and they take that risk. In the end it paid off for us [for the first goal]."
On his superb goal which sealed the win: "It was a really good goal but the important thing was getting the two-goal difference.
"At that moment it was tight and gave us breathing space.
"It is always good to show a good reaction after a loss. We showed we are always ready to go again and we've shown that for years and years."
