The Premier League champions are struggling on keeping up with the other clubs of Group D.
Borussia Dortmund came into the pitch with hopes of not only overcoming Manchester City but also wanted to prove what they are made of as they are stuck in what is considered to be the toughest Group of this Champions League.
Joe Hart was forced on making a number of saves in order to keep his squad in the game. From the 1rst half till the ending minutes of the 2nd half, the English goalkeeper had to be at the tip of his toes denying the visiting side.
The deadlock was finally broken at the 61st minute when Marco Reus slipped past the static defence of City and curled the ball past the reach of Joe Hart and just into the net.
Perhaps undeserving but Manchester City tied the game 1-1 in injury time with a penalty strike being netted in by Mario Balotelli.
