Mallorca Vs Getafe Highlights: Getafe had to fight hard in order to overcome a resilient Mallorca side that managed to open up the score through the Mexican Giovani Dos Santos as he scored in the 1rst half but late goals from Diego Castro and Adrian Colugan rescued 3 points for Getafe.
Diego Castro scored through a penalty set-piece as he tied the game up in the 2nd period of the match and some minutes later Adrian Colugan wrapped the match up for Getafe with 2 goals that turned the final score into 3-1.
Giovani Dos Santo netted the opening goal at the 24th minute as he was bursting down the right flank and shook off a defender until coming close enough to blast a left-footed strike past Getafe’s goalkeeper Moya and into the further side of his net.
It was all going great for Mallorca as they continued creating shots at goal while keeping Getafe at bay. The visitors tried to find the equalizer but things just weren’t going they wanted it to although things turned for the better at the 71st minute when the referee gave away a penalty kick to Getafe.
Diego Castro made no mistake in firing it home and drawing the match 1-1.
It seemed as if Castro’s penalty kick gave his side motivation to push through for the remaining few minutes of the game. Adrian Colunga scored the 2nd for Getafe with a bullet header and moments later he finished it all off with a volley that turned the game and completed their late comeback.
