Liverpool made their way into the next stage of Capital One Cup after grabbing a slender victory over Swansea on midweek.

It was not an easy task though for Brendan Rodgers' men to break down their opponent as Swansea also putting on an excellent display.
After a tight first 45 minutes which saw both teams drawing 0-0, it was the away side that got themselves ahead.
Marvin Emnes got that opening goal for Swansea on 65 minutes, but that lead was eventually canceled out by Mario Balotelli four minutes from time.
A red card for Swansea's Federico Fernandez in stoppage time gave Liverpool an advantage which they capitalized when Dejan Lovren scored the winner during that additional time.
