Australia boosted their chances in qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil after grabbing a much needed victory against Iraq.
Despite needing a win, both teams didn't looked like scoring in the first half as not many goal scoring opportunities occurred, forcing the two teams heading into the break with a 0-0 scoreline.
Midway into the second period, it was Iraq who took the lead with Alaa Abdul Zahra's goal. However, that lead only lasted for eight minutes as Australia grabbed an equalizer through Tim Cahill's header in the 80th minute.
Four minutes after Cahill's equalizer, Australia completed their comeback with a winning goal scored by Archie Thompson.
