Inter Milan Vs Tottenham Hotspur ( Aggregate 4-4) Highlights: Tottenham came into San Siro with a huge 3-0 advantage against Inter Milan when playing in their 1rst leg and now everything was going be settled in the stadium of the Italians.
Inter Milan gave it everything they had since the very start as they were in need of at least 3 goals in order to survive and force extra time to be added on. Their performance this time around was simply outstanding with continuous bursts upfront not allowing the opposition any time or space to react.
It was a fairly even match in terms of possession but where the home side shined was in their arsenal of shots that were launched against Tottenham’s Brad Friedel.
Antonio Cassano kicked things off for Inter Milan with the opening goal after 20 minutes had passed. He connected with a chipped pass from Palacio and headed it into the roof of the net.
Adebayor had quite a few chances on scoring for Tottenham but could not really capitalize on those moments and it was Palacio who cut their 1rst leg deficit to 1 goal as he scored the 2nd goal for Inter Milan at the 56th minute.
The aggregate score was tied up 3-3 following a disastrous mistake from William Gallas as he scored in his own net at the 76th minute when he attempted to clear the ball away from his own box but instead only whipped the cross of Cassano into the back of his own net.
Extra time was added on and Adebayor made no mistake this time around as he took advantage of a mistake from Handanovic when he failed to control a shot from Dembele and just slipped it to the path of Adebayor who scored the ever important away goal.
Ricardo Alvarez scored 1 more goal for Inter Milan moments later but it was Tottenham who qualified through thanks to the away goal advantage.
