Inter Milan made their way into the next round of Coppa Italia after successfully grabbing a hard fought win over Serie B side Trapani this past midweek. Having disappointing results in recent Italian Serie A matches, Inter were pushing hard in search for early goals as they put on an attacking display which resulted in an early goal netted by Fredy Guarin after just four minutes of play.
Things looking pretty comfortable for Nerazzurri as they managed to double their lead through Ishak Belfodil's effort five minutes from time. The home side looking more dominant as they bagged their third goal just before half time break from Saphir Taider's spot kick. Despite already trailing by three goals, Trapani didn't just give up easily as they managed to pull two goals back in the second period through Cristian Caccetta on 54 minutes along with Giuseppe Madonia on the 90th minute.
