Inter Milan's ambition in pushing for top three seat in current Italian Serie A standings was halted again as Nerazzurri only managed to bag a point on their latest home fixture against Samdoria. Eager to showcase their quality in front of new owner, Eric Thohir, Inter tried to put on a good show, but it was Il Sampd that made a bright start, creating several chances early on.
Inter finally got things going for them and eventually went one goal up on 18 minutes, through Fredy Guarin's close range finish. That goal triggered a much more interesting encounter as both sides were putting on an aggressive attacking display, creating chances all over the place.
Nothing really changed early in the second half as both sides still putting on an aggressive display, but midway into the second half, Inter seemed to give more initiative for Sampdoria, which the away side took advantage of as they eventually drew level one 89 minutes through a lovely left footed long range effort from Renan.
