Hibernian keeping their challenge for top four seat in Scottish Premier League alive and well as they bagged an important home win over Hearts this midweek. Playing in the Edinburgh derby was never an easy task despite Hibs' in a much better position in current standings, yet they can't seem to find a way through their opponent during the first 45 minutes which ended in goalless draw.
After the break, both sides kept on surging forward in search for goals and it was Hibernian that eventually got things going as right on the hour mark Jamie Collins puts them in front. However, that lead was soon canceled out as Hearts fought back and got themselves back on level terms through David Smith's effort. Eventually, it was Hibs that took home all three points from that derby when Liam Craig converted his spot kick seven minutes from time.
