Hellas Verona starting to lose grip on their top five challenge in current Serie A standings after picking up a disappointing home defeat against city rival, Chievo Verona on Saturday. The home side were keen on grabbing maximum points as that would put them back in challenge for top five seat, but they were facing strong resistance from their struggling neighbor.
Although Chievo are currently sitting at the bottom of standings, it was far from an easy task for Hellas to take all three points in that encounter. That derby looked to be ending in a goalless draw as both sides can't seem to find that finishing tough, but deep in stoppage time, the Flying Donkeys found a break through with an effort from Dejan Lazarevic which turned out to be the match decider.
