Hamburger SV's survival mission in German Bundesliga is far from over as they're still sitting in the bottom three seat of current standings after getting beaten by Bayern Munich on Saturday.

Keen on taking advantage over Bayern's recent disappointing Champions League exit, Hamburg tried to take an attacking approach in that weekend tie.

However, it turned out that the visitor were also determined in getting a redemption for their disappointing defeat in Europe.

Bayern got themselves in front on 32 minutes with Mario Goetze opening the score, which also lasted until half time break.

The away team continue to pour forward as they added a second goal from Thomas Muller on 55 minutes, before Goetze completed his brace on 69 minutes.

Hamburg did manage to reduce the deficit with an effort from Hakan Calhanoglu on 72 minutes, but three minutes later Claudio Pizarro regained Bayern's three goals margin with his effort.
