Everton still keeping their hopes for fourth place finish alive and well as they snatched an important away victory against struggling Fulham this weekend.
Both teams are in need of three points for different reasons as the home team are keen in getting away from relegation trouble while Everton are still eyeing that final Champions League spot.
That situation triggered a tight encounter, especially during the first 45 minutes which saw both sides having a go at each others without making any success as that period ended in goalless draw.
After the break, it was Everton that got things going as they went one goal up on 51 minutes thanks to an own goal from David Stockdale.
Fulham reacted well though as they managed to get back on level terms through Ashkan Dejagah's effort on 71 minutes.
However, the visitor regained their control over that tie as they snatched a second goal from Kevin Mirallas' strike on 79 minutes.
The away side finally sealed all three points from that weekend game with a strike from Steven Naismith who scored on 87 minutes.
