Borussia Dortmund getting their Bundesliga campaign back on winning ways as they snatched an important away win over Mainz this weekend. Playing straight after their Champions League success, Dortmund looking confident in taking maximum points as they immediately put on an aggressive display since kick off, but it wasn't an easy task for the visitor as they couldn't break down their opponent during the first 45 minutes.
After the break, both sides kept on pushing forward but it was Dortmund that eventually get ahead through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's effort on 70 minutes. That lead only lasted for four minutes as Maxim Choupo-Moting leveled the score from the penalty spot to make it 1-1. The away side regained their lead in a short while as Robert Lewandowski scored on 78 minutes also from a spot kick. Lewandowski was showcasing his attacking prowess once again by completed his brace in stoppage time with another 12 meter kick.
