France showcasing positive competitive signs ahead of the 2014 World Cup as Didier Deschamps' men grabbed a pretty comfortable friendly win over Netherlands on Wednesday. Putting on their best possible squad for that midweek game, Les Blues immediately took control of situation and eventually got themselves in front on 32 minutes from Karim Benzema's strike. The home team were far from over yet as they kept on pushing forward on that first period and eventually doubling their lead four minutes from time through Blaise Matuidi's effort.
Despite Netherlands' strong effort in getting back into that tie, no more goals were scored in the second half, as France comfortably holding on to their two goals lead and booked a morale boosting win ahead of their World Cup campaign. It was not all bad though for Louis Van Gaal's men as despite being defeated, they still have huge shot in Brazil especially since the tactician haven't used all of his best players on that midweek tie.
