Italy finally got themselves a win during their World Cup warm up as Cesare Prandelli's men defeated local Brazilian club, Fluminense on Sunday.
Already arriving in Brazil, Gli Azzurri took the time to do another friendly match instead of just embarking on regular training session.
Playing some of their alternative players, Italy looked sharp since early minutes as they got in front on 23 minutes through Lorenzo Insigne.
However, Fluminense refused to be taken down easily as they fought back and draw level on 25 minutes from Chiquinho's effort.
Gli Azurri regained their lead on 31 minutes from Ciro Immobile's header, but within just six minutes later, the home side equalized again, this time through Carlinhos.
After the break, both sides kept on playing their attacking game, but it was Italy that manage to take control early on as they got back on the lead with Immobile's second on 53 minutes.
One minute later, it was 4-2 as Immobile completed his hat-trick on that tie, giving up a shout in getting that starting place for Italy's World Cup campaign.
Italy continue to dominate proceedings as they added a fifth goal on 55 minutes, through Insigne, who bagged a precious brace on that game.
Fluminense were not done yet though as they still put on a fight by pulling one goal back through Matheus Carvalho's strike on 64.
