Monaco continue to struggle heading into the new season of France Ligue 1 as they picked up a second consecutive defeat, after being humbled by Bordeaux this past weekend.
Eager to redeem their opening day defeat, Monaco tried to take control of proceedings early on as they push forward vigorously.
That aggressive approach was rewarded when Dimitar Berbatov puts them in front just before half time break.
However, early in the second period, Bordeaux got back on level terms with an equalizing goal coming from Diego Rolan.
The home team turned things around on 61 minutes when Emiliano Sala converted from the penalty spot to give his team a 2-1 lead.
Four minutes later, Rolan completed his brace and give his side a comfortable lead, before Wahbi Khazri's spot kick made it 4-1 for Bordeaux.
