Everton vs Crystal Palace highlights (2-3)

Everton failed to regain their fourth place seat in English Premier League standings as this midweek they suffered a disappointing home defeat over Crystal Palace.

Playing in front of their home crowd, Roberto Martinez's men were putting on an aggressive approach from the start.

However, it was Palace that got things going as they got in front on 23 minutes from Jason Puncheon's finish.

Trailing by a goal during the first 45 minutes, Everton found themselves in further trouble when their opponent double their lead on 49 minutes from Scott Dann's effort.

The Toffees were not keen on giving up though as they managed to pull one goal back through Steven Naismith's goal on 61 minutes.

Unfortunately, that goal didn't spark a comeback as Palace were able to regain their lead, this time from Cameron Jerome's strike on 73 minutes.

The home team only able to reduce their deficit in 86 minutes through Kevin Mirallas, but still can't get back on level terms.
