Schalke's ambition in moving their way into the top four of Bundesliga standings was halted this weekend after only picking up a point from their latest fixture against Frankfurt. The away side actually made a positive start on that weekend encounter as they got in front after 14 minutes thanks to an own goal from Johannes Flum.
Things looking really good for Schalke as four minutes later they double their advantage, this time from an effort by Joel Matip on 18 minutes. The home side bounced back rapidly in the second half, Flum paid his debt by netting home a goal on 56 minutes. Moment's later, Frankfurt got back on level terms through Joselu's effort on 61 minutes and seven minutes later, the Spanish attacker completed his brace to make it 3-2. The visitor were not keen on giving away all three points from that match as they pushed hard, before eventually getting that equalizing goal on 86 minutes from Benedikt Howedes.
