FC Porto made their way into the next round of Europa League campaign this season despite failing to win their second leg battle against Bundesliga side, Eintracht Frankfurt. Drawing 2-2 at home in their earlier match up triggered an exciting second leg battle as both sides were very determined in snatching for maximum result. The home side made a bright start on that tie when Stefan Aigner puts them in front on 37 minutes, which lasted until half time break.
Things looking really comfortable for Frankfurt early in the second period when they double their lead with a goal coming from Alexander Meier, who scored on 52 minutes. However, six minutes later, Porto started their come back as Eliaquim Mangala pulled one back for his team. Midway into that period, the away side eventually got back into level terms with another effort from Mangala on 71 minutes. The host regained their advantage through Meier's brace on 76 minutes, but 10 minutes later the Portuguese side equalized again from Nabil Ghilas' effort which also confirmed their passage into the next stage of Europa League.
