Highlights: Fourth place team in Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt were looking to climb up in the table when they face Mainz on Tuesday.
Frankfurt mission didn't looked like going well though as Mainz were playing some sharp attacking football which resulted in the opening goal for the visitor scored by Andrea Ivanschitz after just 18th minutes into the first period.
The visitor managed to doubler their lead just before the half time break when Shawn Parker scored a fine effort after latching onto Eugene Polanski's pass. Instead of staging a comeback, things got worse for Frankfurt after the break as they conceded another goal, this time through Nikolce Noveski header.
The host only managed to pull one goal back few minutes after Mainz third and even that consolation came from an own goal by Adam Szalai. This defeat puts Frankfurt stuck in fourth place, but their position could be overtaken by Bayer Leverkusen, who will play on Wednesday.
