Derby County keeping their chase for that direct qualification spot in England Championship current standings as they picked up a slender win over Bournemouth this weekend. Playing in front of their home crowd, Derby tried to take control of things straight from kick off as they put on an aggressive display since kick off. It was not an easy task though for the host to break down their opponent's defense as Bournemouth were playing in a solid fashion.
After a goalless first 45 minutes, both teams tried to improve their attacking play in search for that elusive winning goal. It was Derby that finally successful on their attempts when Chris Martin netting home the only goal in that game with five minutes left from the final 90 minutes to go. Another important win indeed for Derby as they hold down their third place spot in current England Championship table, with only two points a drift from second spot holder, Burnley.
