Crystal Palace continue to pick up negative results in this early phase of English Premier League after they suffered a defeat against West Ham United.
Both teams were keen on grabbing all three points as they were beaten on their opening league fixture in previous weekend.
The away side put on an attacking display since early minutes and got themselves in front after 34 minutes through Mauro Zarate.
That goal lifted West Ham confidence as they kept on pushing forward and eventually doubling their advantage three minutes later with an effort from Stuart Downing.
After the break, Palace immediately pulled one back with a goal arriving from Marouane Chamakh, making the tie much more interesting.
However, it was West Ham that grabbed all three points on that tie with Carlton Cole netting home the third goal on 62 minutes.
