Borussia Moenchengladbach still keeping their fourth place seat in current Bundesliga standings after grabbing a thrilling home win against Darmstadt 98.
Keen on redeeming themselves following a heavy defeat from Bayer Leverkusen in previous week, Gladbach immediately put on an attacking display.
However, it was Darmstadt that got off to a better start as they opened the scoring on 28 minutes through Marcel Heller.
Things continue to look bad for Gladbach as they were forced to play with 10 men when Granit Xhaka saw red on 38 minutes.
The home side were not keen on giving up though as despite playing a man down, they picked up an equalizing goal from Lars Stindl just before half time break.
Gladbach turned things around early in the second period when Havard Nordtveit made it 2-1 on 51 minutes.
That match was far from over though as Darmstadt got back on level terms through Sandro Wagner who scored on 67 minutes.
In the end, it was Gladbach that came away with all three points as Ozcar Wendt netted home his side's second four minutes from time.
