Borussia Dortmund got themselves back into the runners up spot in German Bundesliga standings after their success in overcoming Nurnberg this past Saturday. It was not an easy task though for Dortmund as at first, they were forced to play a tough encounter which saw both teams failing to score any single goals.
After the break, Dortmund finally got themselves in front when Matt Hummels opened the scoring on 51 minutes. Robert Lewandowski doubling his teams advantage with his goal on 64 minutes, before Henrikh Mkhitaryan sealed his team's third on 83 minutes. No more goals were scored afterwards, but it was more than enough to secure second place seat as their rival, Bayer Leverkusen suffered a defeat other game.
