Derby County's ambition to push closer into Championship table's to three seat suffered a halt this weekend as they were held into a draw by home team, Blackburn Rovers. Both teams were really eager to pick up maximum points from that tie, triggering such tight fixture which saw both sides canceling each others out since the start of that tie.
After getting caught up in a disappointing goalless first 45 minutes, things finally opened of for Blackburn as they got themselves in front on 47 minutes through Rudy Gestede's effort. However, that lead didn't last until the final whistle as six minutes from time, Derby got back on level terms with an effort from Patrick Bamford. That late equalizing was the last one in that encounter as both sides were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw.
