SL Benfica 2-0 RSC Anderlecht highlights: Portuguese outfit, Benfica grabbed a positive result on their Champions League group stage opening fixture after defeating Anderlecht on Tuesday.
The home side didn't waste any time in taking control of the match as they immediately put on an aggressive display from kick off and earned their reward with an early goal from Filip Djuricic's effort after just four minutes of play. That early goal gave more confidence for Benfica as they went on to double their lead on 30 minutes, this time from Luisao's effort. No more goals were scored though after the break, but that result was enough to secure all three points for the home team.
