Securing their World Cup 2014 ticket in a pretty comfortable situation didn't necessarily mean that all things are rosy for Belgium as they still need to improve after suffering a disappointing defeat over Japan this midweek. The home side started things strongly as they dominated proceedings and netted a pretty quick goal through Kevin Mirallas on 13 minutes.
That lead didn't last long though as Japan bounced back rapidly and got back on level terms through Yoichiro Kakitani's header on 37 minutes. The away side were brimming with confidence after that equalizer as they pushed forward and turned things around with a fine finish from Keisuke Honda on 53 minutes, before 10 minutes later, Shinji Okazaki making it 3-1 for his country. Belgium themselves only managed to pull one goal back through Toby Alderweireld's header on 79 minutes.
