FC Bayern Munich 4-1 FSV Mainz 05 highlights: Bayern Munich maintaining their top seat in current Germany Bundesliga standings after bagging a comfortable home win over Mainz on Saturday.
Eager to regain control of top spot in Bundesliga after being temporarily over-throned by Bayer Leverkusen last Friday, Bayern Munich were pushing hard for all three points since kick off. It was not an easy first 45 minutes though for Pep Guardiola's men after they were facing a brick wall of Mainz players in that period. Making things more difficult, the away side managed to get themselves in front just before half time break through Shawn Parker's effort.
Trailing by a goal in the first 45 minutes triggered positive approach from Bayern players as they were pushing much harder since the re-start. The home side finally got themselves back on level terms when Arjen Robben slotting home Mario Goetze's assist on 50 minutes. Two minutes later, Robben turned into provider as he assisted Thomas Muller for the Bavarian's second. Things got much easier as Guardiola' men bagged another goal on 69 minutes, this time from Mario Mandzukic's effort and Muller sealed all three points in that match with his spot kick on 82 minutes.
