Bayern Munich confirmed their passage into the semifinals of UEFA Champions League this campaign after defeating their England rival, Manchester United.
Drawing 1-1 in the first match at Old Trafford, Bayern were not keen on settling for a goalless draw as they pour forward vigorously since kick off.
Man United put on a solid defensive effort though, especially in the first 45 minutes as they stopped their opponent from snatching any goals in that period.
Nothing changed a lot in the second half as Bayern still dominate proceedings, but United were trying to push harder as they must grab an away goal to avoid exit from that tournament.
Things seem to be going Man United's way when their counter attacking play resulted in the opening goal which was scored by Patrice Evra on 57 minutes.
However, instead of stunning Bayern's morale, that goal triggered the German side to pull out their best performance and they didn't need to wait long for it.
Pep Guardiola's men reacted swiftly after conceding as within just two minutes, they got back on level terms through Mario Mandzukic's header.
The Bundesliga champions upped their game and eventually turned things around with an effort from Thomas Muller on 68 minutes
Bayern finally sealed their passage into the semifinals thanks to a goal from Arjen Robben on 76 minutes which made it 3-1.
